Lighting candles and bringing pictures

of family and friends to place in the grotto!

There is a nice candle area in the grotto area,

where you can light candles for family and friends back home

or for your own intentions/prayers/wishes

The candles are tended to regularly by the Lourdes staff and there are plenty of candles available for you by donation

There is also a box right inside the grotto, 

where you can leave pictures for family, friends or yourself as well as any letters...   I heard there is a priest who reads every letter that is deposited  there....

 

 

I brought a lot of pics and letters in the past, that I've placed in there...
quite a few from parents whose children were in
a children's cancer hospital...

 

It's a wonderful thing to do for friends, family
or anyone you know who is suffering...
You can take a pic for them to see when you get back home!!
